I thought we had pink eye. The Dr. couldn't confirm, but our plans for a big birthday bash with all Tanner's nursery chums was out. So, we dedicated the whole day to making it the best birthday celebration ever.
For weeks Tanner had been asking for special cereal - the kind with the birdies with the stripes (Fruit Loops). Cliff had picked some up the night before, so we had a fun Fruit Loops surprise for him when he woke up. You would have thought it was Christmas! Then we played birthday balloon volleyball and dressed up the pit crew!
We took a trip to the store where he spent his own dollar out of his own wallet on a new airplane. Then it was off to Coldstone to cash in his free ice cream birthday certificate. By then both Tanner and Cayson were ready to pass out in their ice cream!
They napped while I baked. I'm pretty proud of myself!
And, at the end of the day, we were all EXHAUSTED! But, it was pretty much the best day ever!
